Interior Barn Doors

When I see sliding interior barn doors it reminds me of my old apartment in San Luis Obispo when I was in college. It brings back good memories :-)

My apartment complex consisted of three level apartments in which the top level was a lofted room. That room was mine complete with ladder and sliding door. And no I never fell off, almost did a few nights though ;-) It was pretty much like the tree-house I always wished I had.

Barn doors inside add something unexpected and are way more interesting that the traditional door with hinges. I'm a sucker for the rustic look of natural wood. But adding a bright color door can liven up a room and make it look more modern.
My Favorite :)

Anyone else love sliding barn doors?

Yes! Love them all. We have one "private" office where I work (my boss's) and it is separated with an orangey-yellow wood barn door. The majority of the pieces here were salvaged from an old green house, as was the door. I love the way they look!! Love these images, too.

Now that you mention it...I *DO* love the sliding barn doors! I'm pretty up for rustic elements in any room (I like the laid back vibe) especially when they give so much visual interest as these babies, especially the yellow ones! LOVE. Come to think of it, I think I might just love doors in general...

Fun! I don't have one of these but would like one. Looks a little pricey though, eh? Probably out of my reach. One can dream though!

I love these! I have a vision of building on a new home office addition to our home and I swear I think a white barn door with black iron hardware would be perfect.

PS, thanks for the comment on my blog! Glad to have found yours!!

I really like this idea. I've only ever seen indoor barn doors in a restaurant before. I like the rustic feel it gives, though. Nice visual focal point!

Thanks for stopping by my blog :) Yours is great!
